Happy 2012! The campaign to renew membership has already begun. You probably received a notice in the mail, and already we have received several renewals. Thank you for your quick response! In the notice was information on the establishment of a neighborhood watch. A contact number has been provided for those interested in participating: 803-226-3168. Leave your name and contact information, and someone wil contact you with a meeting date and time. The City of Aiken has reminded us that if you see suspicious activity, please make careful detail of the event and feel free to report it to the appropriate authorities (city resident's call 642-7620, county resident's can call 648-6811 for the sherriffs department).
The Spring, 2012 GAENA general meeting is scheduled for March 15 at 6:30, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Colder weather has set in, reminding us that we should check in with some of our older residents that may have difficulty with the temperature change, and especially in the event of extreme winter weather. There are many 'at home' service providers for home care, and a new one to the area is Be Well Home Services by Trinity Lutheran Home on Laurens Street.
